Deputy Governor of Keo Seima District in Accident with Illegal Wood Traffickers

Cambodia Breaking News, Mondulkiri: Mr. Hoeun Sokna, Deputy Governor of Keo Seima District, was victim of an accident after he drove a car and chased a group of illegal wood traders in front of his property. When he tried to block the other car with his vehicle, the traffickers crashed into him and then abandoned their car full of wood. The incident happened this morning, at 5 am on July 22, 2020, in front of the victim's house in La Pak village, Sre Khtom commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.

Mr. Hoeun Sokna is currently being sent to the emergency room at the Royal Hospital in Phnom Penh. No further details for the time being.
