Couple on a Moto Struck Down by Lightning in Svay Rieng

Cambodia News, Svay Rieng: Yesterday evening, at 5:30 pm on April 8, 2020, a lightning bolt struck a married couple riding on a motorbike in the village of Svay Rieng, Bavet town, Svay Rieng province.
The victims were named as Khan Nak, a 32-year-old man, and Preap Sar, his wife, aged 31, who are both from the village of Prasat in Svay Rieng province.
The couple were driving through a violent thunderstorm on their motorcycle when they were hit by lightning and killed instantly.

Woman Struck Down in her Bathroom

Cambodia News (Oddar Meanchey): On April 9, 2020, at 1:45 pm, a 57-year-old woman, Sao Noth, was struck dead by lightning at her house in Thnol Keng village, Tropeang Prasath district, Oddar Meanchey. She died on the spot.

After the incident, the police went to the scene to examine the body and confirmed that the victim had been killed by a lightning strike. The body was returned to the family for funeral preparation.
