Just wow. Is he simple or what ? It says that he is "known" to the Bamboo Train owner and I bet the owner was really happy with the guy stealing from his customers. Great for business.
Why would he think that he would get away with that ?

When I lived in Battambang some teenagers strangled their aunt, stole around $1000 and the car, and tried to run away to Thailand, as if the Thais would welcome killers/thieves.

Especially as it is a huge money-maker for the police. I am surprised the thief is still in one piece.Anchor Moy wrote:Just wow. Is he simple or what ? Not quite the same story. And hmmm, " [police] did not find any of the tourist’s belongings on him [the thief]. " Well, search the police then.

A tourist''s trip went awry on Wednesday when a man on a moto travelling along the railway in Battambang province snatched her bag while she was riding the rails.
The handbag, which was stolen by one of the two people on the bike, contained $22, 2,600 baht and an iPhone, police said.
Later that day, police arrested a 19-year-old suspect, but did not find any of the tourist’s belongings on him.
