Corporal punishment in Cambodia went worse

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Fucking animals. Who could do that to a child.

Sometimes this place pisses me off so much.

Man, that's fucked.

Poor little guy will be scarred both mentally and likely physically from that. Really makes you want to do evil things to those so-called "parents."

Without even considering the beating, that he is tied is unacceptable.

Anyone know where this happened and who's responsible for it pls get in touch with me. That's one the things that drive me crazy. And there's not a lot of that.

In the States you could go to prison for doing this to an animal, much less a little kid.

If I look at this again I might be coming with you, SD.

That is sick just sick. Reminds me of that nanny abusing the little baby in Uganda that was posted on here, luckily she went to jail but some would say she got off lightly.

Not joking right now, absolutely serious. Would even provide scans of my passport to the CEO owners to make the forthcoming offer legit: Anyone who's able to provide location and/or contacts to some who'd know: $50 reward. And a clear no to "Are you working for a NGO?" I just know how to take care of and handle animals.

You are welcome to post this on facebook or whatever as well.

While I can totally feel where you're coming from (and have no real objection), I think that's not really going to help the kid in the big picture. To really help the little fellow it would take a lot of work and cooperation with people/organisations that could get him out of that household and into a better situation.

And there have been many times where foreigners have intervened in matters between Cambodians to try and help and end up not helping and getting themselves beaten up or whatever.

So while I feel your rage, it would take a a hell of a lot of planning and stuff to really help that kid in the long run.
