Confusion Over Armed Robbery at Oknha's Villa (UPDATED: Arrest!)

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

So many questions...

Image

Why did the child have to sit there, under compulsion? Did they think she was involved? Are little Cambodian girls dangerous?

So the fella is somehow linked... but why is everyone else on the floor and in cable-ties?

This is his home after all right, judging from the self-portrait on the wall.

How did the press get access to the house?

Was this raid even legal?

Do they give a 5 min break for photo taking?

We and all of Cambodia are watching, first hand and up close, a very deliberate public display of sheer naked power. capital P.

The old bull (whoever that is) is still on top.

They most certainly are, or there there would be no need for several military personal carrying hi-velocity weapons on the background.

You always need the press and hangers-on to contaminate the crime scène with their DNA and finger prints and brown paper envelopes so as to confuse the evidence put before the judge .

Where else would they put the girl? She’s next to her mother. Standard practice - go in storming, kick doors down, arrest and handcuff everyone (apart from little future criminals), shoot any dogs, march them into an open area with the most fetching furniture and plant guns and evidence, like the camera DVR and assault rifles.

Fit up if ever I saw one.

Question is why they made such a show? It's obvious the lady is faking tears and the story is unbelievable at best. But why? They completely lack respect for the general public or they just don't care?

Would have been better to just kill him, now they need to explain this story that only a child would believe.

Whatever.
They killed one last month, so another one would be a bit too obvious.

Fair enough but I still think it would have been easier to cover than this fairy tale.

Political leader turned Robin Hood, throws his entire political career away to umm ... punish a lotion seller?
.... by stealing a couple of necklaces.

Yea, ok.

William Guang added that when he entered the house, he was carrying a pistol, a mobile phone and a backpack, but because he was blind without his glasses, he returned to sit in the car.
He forgot his glasses ??? At an armed robbery ? Sounds like a plan. :ugeek:

Personally, I don't think it was political at the start. The lady and Mr Guang probably wanted some insurance payouts. Then once, the cops figure out the motive behind the crime, they let her go, and decided to leverage William Guang's idiocy. It's his idiocy and greed that opened the door to his downfall. The fella clearly has a taste for the finer things in life.

He gave her the jewellery when things were running hot
> then when she told him his dick was too small he simply marched in with his driver and a couple of goons to take it back
> because he was bought up as an entitled little shit who thought he ruled the world just like a two year old boy does
> and without even considering - because he had never bumped into it before - that there are powers far greater in the world than him and his driver and his mum and dad and little sister.

??.
That's the film script i am submitting anyway.

In any case, poor little boy really got himself into the shit for the first time in his life
'gotta feel sorry for him,
