The National Police yesterday ordered all provincial commissariats to continue preventing and cracking down on the distributors of leaflets offering illegal sex services.

Local media Fresh News reported senior National Police officials saying that the order came from the national police chief himself.

“It’s an order from national police chief Neth Savoeun for all provincial commissariats to inspecting the case in their jurisdictions,” the report said. “And if there is a case of illegal sex services being offered, take measure to prevent it and investigate immediately.”

Major General Chuon Narin, Preah Sihanouk provincial police chief, said that he has confirmed that he has received the order from General Commissariat for the National Police.

“We have cracked down on porn leaflets and we will come very hard on that issue,” Maj Gen Narin said.
Maj Gen Narin said that his police officials are following the order to investigate the case.

Sihanoukville, Cambodia news: Brigadier General Choun Narin, provincial police chief of Preah Sihanouk province, said that on 24 August 2018, four Chinese nationals, two women and two men, were detained by police for the dissemination of pornographic photos: Xiang Zi, 19, female, Chao jian ring, female, 18, Liu xiong fei, 27, male and Duan yu cheng, 36, male.

The group were arrested in a car in Village 1, Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville with 684 sexually explicit photo pamphlets.
They were taken to the Sihanoukville police station for questioning, but have refused to cooperate with authorities. As a result, police have seized the pamphlets and the car, plate no. Phnom Penh 2O-8959, and are preparing to send the four flyer distributors to court.
