I think ( personal opinion) Cambodia is being too nice to foreigners in the country, so some expats turned generosity in to indulgences, so maybe that’s why.

Yes, and despite I didn't get the logic of what he was saying.....he is a new member after all with only 5 posts..can't members be a bit more diplomatic?newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:19 pmYikes, JB! No need to pound him into the ground on an innocent (from an outsider’s view) question. Maybe enlightening the OP about the not so past history might encourage him to be an active participant and not frighten him away?John Bingham wrote:So the centuries old conflict and animosity between Khmers and Viets is the fault of foreigners because a guy you work with happens to be very pleasant? How does that work?

Not only that, but it seems that English is not his native language.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 7:13 pmYes, and despite I didn't get the logic of what he was saying.....he is a new member after all with only 5 posts..can't members be a bit more diplomatic?newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:19 pmYikes, JB! Thanks for that Brody.

I'm with JB. The post displayed a shocking absence of critical thinking skills...

Same thing happened just yesterday. Another OP (not a newbie but only 39 posts) had a Confederate flag avatar and a username that presumably JB took offence to, yet he asked an innocent question.
JB proceeds to get stuck into him, calls him a bigot and tells him to hang himself...WTF?
Mods- why do you let this go?
