China expats injured in restaurant shooting
18 July 2018
Four Chinese nationals suffered injuries to their legs when a gunman fired shots at them on Monday night at a restaurant in Sihanoukville, said Phnom Penh city’s commune 3 police chief Khiev Vantha.
He said the eight expatriates were having dinner at the Si Hu restaurant when two others believed to be also Chinese nationals arrived on a motorbike, entered and fired four shots.
Vantha said the victims claimed they didn’t recognise either of the suspects. Cheap Sotheary, the provincial coordinator for rights group Adhoc, said crime was rising in Preah Sihanouk province due to an increase in workers and tourists from China.
“They even dare to use guns and swords and don’t respect and follow the law here,” she said.

Four hurt in Chinese gangland shooting
July 18, 2018
Preah Sihanouk provincial police are on a manhunt for members of a Chinese gang who shot and injured four men from a rival gang during a violent brawl at a Chinese Restaurant in the city on Monday.
Provincial deputy police chief Colonel Bour Sothy said yesterday that the gunfight took place at about 8.30pm when both groups of Chinese were drinking at the Shi Hou restaurant in the city’s Bei Commune.
“No arrests were made yet and we are now seeking the group responsible for the shooting,” he said.
Second Lieutenant Chun Pheng, a commune police officer, said a group of six and another of ten people were eating and drinking in the restaurant on the night of the shooting.
He said an argument took place and members of both groups started punching and kicking each other.
“During the fight, one of the men in the smaller group took out a gun and fired ten rounds at the other group, injuring four,” he said. “After the shooting, the smaller group left the restaurant and fled on their motorbikes.”
Lt Pheng said that police stationed nearby heard the commotion and rushed to the scene, taking the injured to hospital.
He identified the four injured men as Zhang Kun, 39, who was shot twice in the right thigh; Yang Huaihua, 41, who was shot in the right knee and a finger; Yang Junqing, 27, who was wounded on both thighs; and Liu Wei Min, who was hurt on the right thigh.
All four are in the Kingdom on tourist visas and are still being treated in hospital.
The incident is the latest involving gangsters from China who frequently fight among themselves when drunk in the province.

Re: 4 Chinese shot in the legs
The situation is normal due to the payments made to all areas of competent authorities from law to border agencies and judicial members.
The situation will only change if someone large or their family member gets caught up in this shit and injured or killed. Then shit may hit the fan.

Glock and Berretta M9.
These gangsters have some dosh to spend. Hope the Cambodian boys in blue are up to the task.
May there never be a shoot out between them. Not sure if the cops would win.
And of course the possibility of lots of innocent bystanders cross in the crossfire.

The two Chinese suspects are residing in Sihanoukville, and their four victims were tourists who have since returned to China.
The gangsters had very carefully concealed the incriminating weapons.
