Chinese Sent to Court for Drugs and a Handgun

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On March 8, 2022, 3 Chinese men were sent to trial before the Sihanoukville Provincial Court for trafficking illegal drugs in group 5 of village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville. The suspects were identified as Chinese nationals JIN CHAO BIN, LIANG TING, and WANG JIAN WEI. They were arrested on March 3, 2022.

The seized items were 69 capsules of WY pills, 28 small bottles of inhaling drugs, 2 capsules of a brown pill, 2 scales, a handgun (SIG SAUER), 2 glass tubes, a bunch of plastic sachets, 7 cellphones, and 1 vehicle.

Yama/ Yaba methamphetamine/ caffeine pills. They've been around for decades, most come from Myanmar. WY is just a sort of protected brand name, like the Chinese tea packets.

I would have been in total agreement with you sometime ago. But with so many in country arrests and many Chinese now involved.
I would think there are more people involved with making the drugs inside the country to be honest. Why would they take the larger risk in trafficking drugs over the border.

Not every time, because even today, Opium is still the largest imported drug in Asia, and that in this area can only come mainly from the golden triangle. Again we have seen recently the trafficking of this drug into Cambodia.
