Chinese Prisoner Dies of Stroke in Sihanoukville
Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk): According to Dr. Seng Nong, Director of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital, a Chinese national died of a stroke on March 10, 2021.
The Chinese man, XU JI LIN, born in 1996, was serving a seven year prison sentence in Sihanoukville jail. He was incarcerated in 2019 and had served about a year and a half of his sentence for kidnapping and illegal detention.
The prisoner was rushed to the hosital for treatment after he had a stroke, but despite the best efforts of the doctors, he died four hours later, at 5pm on 10 March.
The body of the Chinese convict is being kept at the Provincial Referral Hospital, awaiting disposal from the family and the embassy.

Overall, methamphetamine use increases a person’s chance of having a stroke caused by a brain bleed by almost five times. This increased risk is more than double that associated with cocaine or tobacco – both of which are also known to increase stroke risk

Sister's old school mate had this back in the UK when she was in her early twenties - luckily she survived to tell the tale.
Lost a friend from here in his thirties due to a second stroke, it does happen albeit very, very rarely.
