CEO News notes: Another desperate person tries to kill themself: CEO News does not post all the suicide attempts that appear in Khmer news here, but over the last few days there seems to be an unusual number of suicide by hanging reported all over the country.

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On October 3, 2020, at 3 pm, a Chinese man used a rope to tie on his neck and attempted to jump from the building, on LV road, Sangkat 4, in the middle of Sihanoukville.

In this case, the police and rescue team are trying to help the Chinese man who wanted to hang himself and jump from the building. Nobody knows why the man tried to kill himself yet.

O well, I'm glad he's OK, it may have been safer to just cut that rope, if he'd fallen or slipped with that much slack it would probably have severed his head off,
But hay ho, all's well that ends well.

Cambodia News, Preah Sihanouk Province: At 2:56 pm on October 3, 2020 at a construction site located at Village 5, Group 4, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, a 36-year-old Chinese construction worker named Li hai Liang attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the building.

Immediately after receiving the above report, Major General Chuon Narin, Provincial Police Commissioner, ordered the authorities to cooperate with the 711 Rescue Force and the provincial military police, who intervened and rescued the man in time. The Chinese national was then taken to the Sihanoukville Inspectorate for questioning, taking more than an hour.

According to the physical examination by the authorities, the Chinese man smelled of alcohol and had symptoms such as drunkenness and loss of consciousness.
