After the victim jumped from his rented room, the building owner ordered the translator and the security guard to send the victim to Mongkul Bory hospital, but the victim was in a severe condition. So then, he was sent to the Royal Angkor hospital in Siem Reap, but he died on the way to the hospital.

The police determined that the victim died from internal injuries, due to a fall from a height.
However, photos released by Cambodian authorities show that the victim's body had many cuts and bruises which resemble marks of torture. The photos have been posted on a darknet thread.
