Chinese Businessman Questioned Over Breach of Trust
Cambodia news, (Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of November 17, Phnom Penh Military Police sent a Chinese national to Phnom Penh Municipal Court for suspected involvement in a crime, a breach of trust, aggravated theft, and destruction of documents, committed in Phnom Penh during 2020.
The suspect is named as DENG or TENG SULI, a 56-year-old businessman. Authorities said the criminal case was in the hands of Phnom Penh Municipal Court investigating judge Chhim Rithy.
After hours of questioning that evening, the investigating judge decided to release the suspect on bail. Temporarily, he was allowed to return home, but will be required to return to Phnom penh Municipal Court for further questioning.
