Chenda Dori, A Fearless Cambodian Woman Pilot

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

i did my flight training / time building / flight instructing in orlando FL (pre 9/11), the school was training students of various experiences and certifications from different airlines around the world, in my short tenure of 2 years in that school, i have personally trained, seen, known not less than 50 females pilots from around the world, (china, iran, spain, malaysia and USA ofc)

examples of mistakes by females pilots

1 - cant decide on where to land the airplane in engine failure
2 - cant differentiate between a runway n taxiway
3 - cant focus on task at hand
4 - cant prioritise tasks

personally i felt that females hv in built feminine mentality prevents them from making hard decisions needed for a good pilot, needless to say all the good females pilots have alpha personality, manliness overtones in their characters.

Interesting. I had the impression that airlines liked them because they're supposed to be better at CRM. I assumed that if they've passed the ATPL they can actually fly a plane properly. Maybe those you saw improved with practice or were culled by the exams.

yes i do admit females r better at CRM, and when they get to ATPL they will be better knowledge wise and skill wise but decision making stays abt the same. AFAIK many of them went back to their airlines and never got into the left seat. :D :D :D

WIMMIN PILOTS!

They seem dependable enough so long as they stick to simple tasks like flying flimsy biplanes at night
and dropping bombs.

tow truck usually only pushes the airplane back, unless going to hangar then tow truck comes in
