Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): Two young men on motorbikes died in a multi-vehicle accident on National Road 4 this afternoon, at 4:15 pm on 31 July 2023, Prey Boeung Village, Sangkat Kantouk, Khan Kambol.

A 25-year-old man riding a motorbike carelessly crossed the road as he was leaving work, and was hit by another motorbike, causing him to fall under a truck, resulting in the death of one motorcyclist at the accident scene, while the other motorcyclist(aged 21) died of his injuries later at Preah Kosomak Hospital.
Although the accident was not in any way the fault of the driver of the Nissan truck, ( license plate Phnom Penh 3B-2799), the truck driver abandoned his vehicle and ran away from the accident scene.

According to eye-witnesses, the motorcyclist who died at the scene was coming out of the factory from an east to west direction in front of Wat Kambol, and was crossing National Road 4 from north to south, when they were hit by a speeding motorbike traveling from west to east. The two accidented motorbikes were then hit by the Nissan truck also traveling in a west to east direction, killing one motorcyclist and fatally injuring the other. The vehicles have all been impounded by the police.
