We could bring them to Ballsack Lane and afterwards you can invite them to stay at your house
while they get re-orientated.
I've known a few of these deportees over the years, and they weren't just "petty criminals",
they were nearly all fairly serious former gang members.
I'd be surprised if any of the bleeding-hearts on here had ever encountered any.

If only they took the initiative and pursued their citizenship in the US then they wouldn't be in this predicament.

That's probably something their parents should have done. However many of the refugees from the camps were dumped in pretty rough neighborhoods.They found it hard to assimilate and most didn't pick up English too quickly. They likely didn't understand that they should register their kids or go through whatever process, and even if they did know they wouldn't know how to do it. Similar to one of us trying to negotiate paperwork here when most of us have only rudimentary Khmer speech and zero reading comprehension. The kids grew up understanding English, and some have thrived and done very well. Others didn't though, and that's why we have these returnees. I'm personally up for giving anyone a second chance but I'm also very wary of anyone I don't think I can trust. I knew one returnee for quite a while before I broached the topic of why he really was back here. Why he got deported was just a regular drug possession charge that he did a few years for. But then he told me about some of the other stuff he wasn't caught for, that gave me the creeps.
