Cambodian Woman Cuts the Throat of Her Lesbian Lover and Dumps Body in Tonle Bati Lake

Takeo: According to Postnews Media, around 9:40 am on 20 July 2016, a girl slit her girlfriend’s throat and then pushed her body into the Bati River/Tonle Bati, one of Takeo's famous tourist attractions, located in Bati District, Takeo Province. Police are retrieving the body of the victim from the water.

According to source from the scene, before the incident happened, the couple was seen riding a motorbike to that place together and sat romantically together in a hut. Then at one point, the girl grabbed a knife and cut her girlfriend’s throat and pushed the body into the water, fleeing the scene.

Police are examining the body and looking for the attacker.

Its a lovely spot with all that muddy water. Actually away from the shacks it is quite pretty and the remains of the temple and the lake never have any tourists.

I don't think I've ever seen a photograph in the Khmer press of a deceased woman between 15 and 45 that *didn't* have the woman's shirt unbuttoned, pulled up, or simply removed and thrown aside. There is no need for press photographers to capture images like that -- barely any reason for police to for that matter, given the kind of criminal 'investigation' that happens here -- except simply to titillate. Naked flesh sells papers/clicks, living or otherwise.
