This will all be done after they have organized a rubbish collection service in PP.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Considering this is one of those pie-in-the-sky dreams the ones in power seem to love I doubt it'll see the light of day.

But if it were then Route 2 seems the best cost effective option.
1: it's the shortest route.
2: it utilizes land the existing, but defunct railway line, so once you clear the illegal homes off the railway line it's almost a clear run to the airport.
3: given 1 & 2 it would be the cheapest option and leave enough wiggle room to siphon off enough $$ to build that holiday home down south or buy wife no.2 a new motor.

Me too. Let just have our fingers crossed for the sake of our country.

Having been to Shanghai this year, I can confirm that a Maglev train from the airport to the Riverside would be an excellent idea too.

Both times I've got a taxi from the airport to the Riverside, its taken nearly a hour, which is ridiculous, as its only 7km's apparently. A Maglev train would do this journey in probably under 2 minutes :)

It would also encourage many more Chinese tourists to visit Phnom Penh too.

They did that quite a few years ago. My rubbish is collected daily.
