They say the results are from Schlumberger - mmmm - this IS a respected company $32 billion in revenue and 100,000 staff.

However on digging deeper ( ) we see this....

The report, authored by John C. Menzies, BSc., FSEG, FGSL, FAIG of Cmi Capital Limited (“Cmi”), identifies and documents 21 separate surface oil seeps and occurrences. Two of these seeps were sampled using industry standard techniques and the samples were submitted to Schlumberger Limited, Dubai for gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and biomarker analysis and interpretation. Results from Schlumberger showed that samples contained hydrocarbons of thermogenic origin (i.e. liquid hydrocarbon as generated at depth from mature source rocks that had migrated to surface).

Methodology

Two oil seeps were sampled by Cmi using General Oceanics seep sampling kits. Samples were forwarded to the independent Schlumberger Limited research laboratory in Dubai for gas chromatograph and biomarker analysis.

Actually General Oceanics do not have a specific Seep Sampling Kit - but they do have this



As everyone is pointing out - the local garages who dump their old oil anywhere and everywhere could have created the new generation of Jed Clampitts.

Expect mass migration from professional squatters who claim to have lived on the land for the last 100,000 years, or the big-wigs to have suddenly 'bought' the land.

Angkor have an 'exploration' licence only - not the right to drill and exploit on whoever this land 'belongs' to.
