Two Vietnamese Women Connected to Covid Community Outbreak Remain in Quarantine in Svay Rieng
Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng Province): Dr. Ker Ratha, Director of Svay Rieng Provincial Health Department, told the media today that the two Vietnamese women infected with Covid-19 who were taken to Svay Chrum District Referral Hospital in Svay Rieng Province have been cured since March 14, 2021, but will be held in quarantine for another 14 days before being handed over to immigration authorities. This case is related to the 20 February Covid-19 event in Phnom Penh.
Back story: On February 27, 2021, two Vietnamese women (28 years old and 27 years old, living in Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh) traveled from Phnom Penh in a Highlander taxi with license plate Phnom Penh 2AC- 4048 and arrived in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province with the intention of leaving for Vietnam.
However, due to insufficient documents and irregularities, immigration police officers at the Bavet International Border Crossing did not allow them to cross the border.
The emergency response team of the Provincial Department of Health and Administration instructed the women to adhere to the health measures and took the sample for the first Covid-19 test on the morning of February 28, 2021 and the results provided by the Cambodian Pasteur Institute on March 3, 2021 confirmed that both women were positive for Kovid-19.
Following the current 14-day quarantine, both women will be deported to Vietnam.

Re: Cambodia's Quarantine and Lockdown Escapees (Regular Updates)
It has been reported that a man, who had been tested for Covid in connection with the 20 February outbreak, was sent by his mother to sleep in a guesthouse in Daun Penh district.
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the morning of March 20, 2021, at 9:00am, the medical team went to pick up a man staying at Kim Sour Guesthouse in Phsar Thmei II, Daun Penh district, who was involved in the February 20 incident. The guesthouse has been temporarily closed and the staff will be tested.
The man above, Phon Visal, had previously tested for Covid-19, and while he was waiting for the results, his mother did not let him enter the house, so he came to sleep at the guesthouse above. When the doctors came out with a positive result of Kovid 19, the mother told them that her son was sleeping in the Kim Sour Guesthouse and they sent a medical team to pick him up.

Re: Cambodia's Quarantine and Lockdown Escapees (Regular Updates)
I don't suppose he was too thrilled by her either...
Son: "Hey Mum, I have just had a Covid-19 test"
Mum: "Well fuck right off right now!"
Son: "WTF?"
Mum: "I'm not kidding... PASS ME MY MEAT CLEAVER"
