Cambodia's Miss Earth National Costume

Post by CEOCambodiaNews » Fri Oct 27, 2017 10:09 pm

Neang Ousaphy is the national costume for Miss Earth Cambodia to join the Miss Earth 2017 in the Philippines. This wonderful costume was designed by La Chhouk Recycled & Creative Fashion that made out of recycled materials such as disc, bottle caps, sack and stuff...

In fact, this costume is associated with Khmer identity that we inspired from Kouprey (a national symbol of Cambodia) and we have added some of the Khmer dance costumes such as So Rong Kor, Ksae Chiang, etc.

Along the name of Neang Ousaphy means "the queen of the cow", according to the word "usaph or usaphreach" mean "the king of the cow".

Moreover, when the model put the costume on and walk, you would hear the bell sound like when the cow walks on the way with its bell, as well as it's a boost to the audience.

More specifically, we use recycled material as a Concept because we want to showcase our commitment to protecting wildlife and the environment that would be perfect for the competition of Miss Earth 2017 through the main goal of the Environmental Education Program.

Lastly, we hope this Cambodia national costume would present our country to world through Miss Earth Cambodia.

Thank you!

Those are beautiful designs, I really like how they have worked the horns of this extinct forest ox into the head dress. It always seems depressing when I think that Cambodia's national animal is the Kouprey, a creature which hasn't been seen in half a century.

THAT'S what I call swag!!
Melvin Udall: Never, never, interrupt me, okay?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.
