A British man, Philip Shimmin, had been hacked on the head with axe which resulted in serious injury

Phnom Penh: A British man had been hacked on the head with axe which resulted in serious injury and the perpetrator had been arrested immediately around 11:30 pm on 05/August/2015 near Botom Pagoda Park located in Chaktomok commune, Daun Penh district.

Police said the perpetrator name Deam Ngor, 21 years old, unemployed. The victim nams Philip Schimmin, male, 26 years old, tourist. He was staying at Koh Touch guesthouse near Phsar Thmey 3, Daun Penh district. He had serious injury on his head and now he is in critical state and staying at calmette hospital.

According to the witnesses, the victim and his friends were wandering around the part near Botom pagoda then there was a Cambodian man armed with axe approached him and hacked him on the head which left him in serious injury on the head. Then the attacker tossed the axe away and tried to flee the scene, but he then was caught by the patrolling police over there.
