British Nick Laycock Arrested For Rape of Tourist in Kampot

The provincial police arrested a British man, Nicholas Laycock, for raping a British woman

Kampot: According to Dap News, The provincial police of Provincial Criminal headquarters under the lead of General Moa Chanmotukrith along with the order from the prosecutor of provincial court, around 3:00 pm on 22 August 2015 had arrested a British man involving in raping a British woman and physical abuse.

Police told Dap News that the victim name xxxxxxxxxc, 22 years old, British, the suspect name [Nick Kola?], male, 25 years old, British. He works at Arcadia Hostel/Guesthouse in Kampot. Police confirmed the victim has been traveling in Kampot for 3 days and the suspect has been living and working in Cambodia for 6 months.

Police added, according to the answers of the victim, around 11: 50 on 21, August, 2015, the suspect raped her and also physically abused her in the Arcadia area at the river bank located in Snom Prambpee village, Mak Prank commune,Tuk Choo commune, Kampot province. Before it happened she was drinking with about 20 other foreigners. She walked away from there for a while, and then the suspect started to rape her and physically abused her. After that she walked back to her friend with her frightened face and shaking hands. Her friends tried to ask her what happened on her, but she didn’t reply. She just kept crying. Later on, she asked two of her friends to bring her to Sun Ya Keal hospital for treatment.

Police was really paying attention in this case. They kept asking her at the hospital until 9:00 pm on 22, August, 2015 in order to pressure the suspect.

According to the doctor confirmation, the victim has wounds all over her body and has broken hand. She is till frightening right now.

Only in Cambodia do they photograph and publish the victim's face. What a cunt, if he's guilty - I hope they throw away the key and that he gets a daily performance of his crime from the receiving end in the showers of the local gaol.

The article mentions the victim's hand is broken. I don't see a broken hand in the pictures of the girls, maybe they are just friends?

Innocent man held in jail. Nick Laycock has been falsely accused of the rape of a woman in Kampot. We have conclusive CCTV footage, and 3 written statements, 1 written by the so called victim of the event, stating Nicks innocence. Here is the story as follows:
So Nicholas Handcock moved to Cambodia 6 months ago. Nick had the unfortunate experience of losing both his parents at a young age, He continued to have a positive life, making many friends in his community.

Upon travelling to South East Asia he found a place he could relax in a town called Kampot.

This is a clear case of Police corruption in Cambodia as the girls were forced into signing false statements against Nick which, after seeing the video evidence they, all 3, retracted their statements all stating that Nick is innocent.

Nick is currently in police custody under a false rape accusation. There is conclusive CCTV footage that Nick is innocent as well as 3 statements, one from the so called victim, and her two friends that state there was no wrong doing by Nick and he should be let go by the police. The CCTV footage backs up the 3 statements. You can clearly see in the video after they had both consented to sex, she fell down some stairs after Nick had descented the same stairs just before. She banged her head, took two mintues to stand up, and then Nick walked her back to the bar.

Currently Nick is still in jail despite all the conclusive evidence in his favour and the British embassy have made no effort at this point to help him.

It's a real shame how an innocent, stand up British man has been dealt the short end of the stick.

We're hopeful Nick will be freed in the coming days but his reputation will always b tarnished from these false alligations.
