You are right. I have been kicking myself about my flippant post. Apologies.

@Maryjane So sorry for your loss. Such a young man. It can be very difficult to find out what made someone die prematurely in a re-developing country such as Cambodia. I would imagine the friends he was travelling with would have more information about the hours before he died.
It is true that young travellers usually die in Cambodia via misadventure/accident or an overdose. Post mortems are rare, expensive and unreliable. I hope you are getting good advice from the embassy/consulate?
Again, my deepest sympathies.

Is that an English or Scottish name?Muhammad Ibrahim Baig
I know we Americans don't use the Queen's English, but boy that is quite different from what I expected. He is my cousin brother . He is 21 years old visiting Cambodia with friends .,
My uncle received a call from embassy to relay news . We have some information but not all . They sent pictures . My cousin will go to identify the body .
We just want to know what really happened?
Was he given medical help ?
Was he alone ?
What time ?
Etc

Far from remaining monarchical, hierarchy-ridden subjects on the margin of civilization, Americans had become, almost overnight, the most liberal, the most democratic, the most commercial minded, and the most modern people in the world." - Gordon S.
