British GARY SMITH Injured After Getting Robbed by Young Student

Phnom Penh: On March 09, a British expat GARY SMITH, injured on his leg after getting robbed by a Student at Sangkat Beung Kekong, Khan Chamkamorn, Phnom Penh. The suspect's name Heng Li, a student grade 10 in Psar Derm Thkov High School.
Before the incident, while the victim was standing with his wife, the suspect rode a BEST motorbike attempted to steal the victim's phone but the victim try to pull the phone back cause the motorbike fall on the on the victim. After that the suspect get up and try to run to escape but people was near by help to caught, then deliver to the police.

That happens a lot lately or is it only people talking. I don't know.
Also a lot of blood coming from that wound, hope the victim will be alright.

Snatchings are becoming a lot more common, but they always increase in the lead up to big holidays like Khmer New Year.

Easily avoided if you use a bit of common sense though.
