British Drug User Martin Stephen Hale Dies of Overdose in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Dean William McWilliams Hospitalized

Post by CEOCambodiaNews » Sat Jul 02, 2016 12:17 pm

Alleged British Drug Smuggler, Stephen Martin Hale, found dead at Happy House Guesthouse, Phnom Penh

Accused British Drug Smuggler, 34 year old Martin Stephen Hale from Northern Ireland was found dead at Happy House Guesthouse, Phnom Penh from a suspected heroin overdose.

Hale's cousin, Dean William McWilliams was with Hale at the time of his death and is currently in Calmette Hospital, presumably from a heroin overdose as well. They were both found on the floor of the same guesthouse room. Police have been unable to interview McWilliams yet as he is still unconscious.

The Happy House is a cheap guesthouse offering dorm beds to backpackers for as little as $3 a night located at No.151, Street 19, Corner Street 172

In 2013, Stephen Martin Hale was arrrested with 2 others in Northern Ireland and charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs, after police intercepted a £400,000 consignment of suspected herbal cannabis on a lorry from Scotland.

The HappyHouse - $3 a night !!

Sorry for the family and friends of the deceased and RIP, but this is becoming systematic. Young travelers, often Brits, arrive in PP, check into cheap guesthouse, score smack and OD. Somebody needs to get the word out that the smack here is killing people. Probably not so much the habitual junkies as those who like a taste from time to time.

even google translate does not say the same;

B

Currently: Office of Technical Sciences and tycoon Dr Sanath rn doctors municipal inspection forensic chhch and Assume that the victim who died was caused by attacks by using items addiction Mall ft. the statutory bodies friendship hospital Khmer-Soviet waiting for relatives to celebrate the traditions.

so why quote retail price when they quote street value? (besides which you do know the retail price has gone up in recent years, when were you there last running your hash retail business?)

maybe thats why they were smuggling it from a place that legally grows and sells it to a place that does not.

the media always quotes retail in the smallest units.
the popo give them the numbers.
looks more spectacular that way.

They brought it from Scotland to Northern Ireland, which are both UK. It's not legally grown there or in the Netherlands.

First and middle name are reversed from the article, and birthplace seems different. Hmmmmm. What should we think?

"Three men are accused of conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

They are Stephen Martin Hale, 30, of Summerhill...

Would Summerhill be his place of birth or just where he lives?

Lisburn is his place of birth, it's on the edge of Belfast. There are quite a few Summerhills, but I assume they meant the one in Fermanagh.
