I realize this states this gentleman is British but this came through cambodiaparentnetwork.

"A friend who is homeless, a young American man, would love a guitar so he can busk. "

Apparently homeless foreigners and begging street musicians is on the rise.

another expat loses his marbles, must be one a day In PP.

I wouldn't say he has lost his marbles. From his posts, it sounds as if he is trying very hard to sort out his problems with any sort of employment that will bring in an income.

But should have sorted out his passport issues when he still had some funds to do that.

I know him. He was in Kampot 2ish years ago. Was asking me for a tab constantly. Never ending stories of how he is a major player in the estate agent business in pp. Was a lost soul,very clearly. Always wondered when i would see him on here either in trouble or dead. From yorkshire. Not a bad man imho but lost for sure.

I know people get in these predicaments all by themselves, but I still feel a bit bad for them.

The closest I ever came to being homeless abroad was when I landed in Penang, Malaysia and my PayPal card was blocked for a day, LoL. I was that smuck having to tell a guesthouse that I swear I had the money I just needed a bit of time to sort it out.

And I just got a message from a buddy in Phnom Penh a couple weeks ago asking if he could borrow about $500 to pay his overstay fees. I feel it's inevitable that he'll end up dead or deported, which isn't fun.

nowadays the are reluctant to give barangs credit, Too many begpackers take advantage especialy europeans with there entitled mentality.
