HM blames derelict building problem on foreign media

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

HE HM is looking for foreign NGOs to finish those buildings. Perhaps a guilt trip on Western countries will have them open their wallets and finish the job.

It’s a time honored technique. Contributing the success of Cambodia for decades.

ABA is changing everything , they got new joints everywhere .
They jazz up / modernize some piece of crap corner somewhere with all new
ABA signage and rooms full of ATMs for cash in or cash out .
I think a lot of people are dying and leaving all their cash to ABA .
As soon as you die they gotcha !

But not one drive up window , you got to park and go inside ,
Even all the 5 star chicken booths are right there but you still got to get off the moto
You ( I mean i) would think some planner here would incorporate drive up windows

Basically 2017.and 18 was just the local cops class taking the opportunity to shakedown the Chinese mafia and pocket the cash and nobody cared about the long term fallout. There was no planning, just a rush of crazy gangsters throwing their cash at land leases, etc... a handful of locals got rich, but that's it...

To blame the lack of planning and the uncontrolled influx of bad guys on foreign media is just silly talk.
Issuing visas to all the wrong people was the real problem, I think.

Cambodia needs foreign capital to develop... Not money launderers... 💤 G'nigh.

Yeah.... That's it! It was all the foreign media's fault the Chinese completely ruined Sihanoukville. Don't forget he's got his daddy's DNA.
But he's West Point trained! :stir:

So? I'll come to Cambodia next week, would it have pleased you better if I had been holding back with my reply till then?

Not sure what point you are trying to make tbh, if any. I've been to Sihanoukville recently. Multiple times.
Simply saying the link doesn't work in Cambodia.
For anyone spending more than a few days in Cambodia the use of a reliable VPN server is kind of mandatory, or at least highly recommended, if you care about your privacy and freedom to read what you want.
