Begging Street Kids Detained by Anti-Drug Police in Siem Reap
Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On March 18, 2019, the Siem Reap police anti-drug department detained ten children who were begging for money from tourists in Chas Market, Sangkat Svay Dongkom, Siem Reap.
Lieutenant Ek Sarath, Siem Reap inspector, reported that after making them submit to a drug test, there were three kids who tested positive for drug use; the three drug users were sent to a drug detention center, and the other seven kids were taken into care by Kalyan Meth Organization.
