Bavet, Cambodia news: The woman victim, 38-year-old Soeun Dan, has passed away in hospital in Vietnam, due to the severity of the wound to her head.

From latest reports, the killer is now saying that he fired off his gun in the air, because he was impatient that his food didn't arrive quickly enough, and he shot the woman in the head by mistake.
The suspect is a policeman, with a father who is also high up in the police force, but a woman has died, and there will be public pressure insisting that he must pay for his crime.

So why is the member of staff saying he asked to see the manager then pulled out his gun and shot her in the head?

RIP

The local Facebook / YouTube 'journalists' were really distasteful, they interviewed the victims daughter on camera. The girl is really young and clearly didn't even understand what death is and that her mother wouldn't be coming back.

Who would you believe, the impartial witness, or the man who shot the gun, and now says it was an accident ?

...and again, someone in 'authority', entrusted with carrying a weapon, and who chooses to use the weapon, off duty, to settle a matter that even shouting would be seen as excessive.

Hiring practices somewhat suspect...
Jobs for the boys
Etc, etc.

According to the Khmer Facebook grapevine.... The victim was the girlfriend of the suspects father. The suspect was tired of seeing his mother crying and depressed so he went and shot the mistress.
