Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On April 15, 2021, at 7:15 pm, a 59-year-old man, PETER JAMES DOYLE, Australian national, was found passed away in a room on the first floor on street 174, Sangkat Psar Thmie3, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

A man 47-year-old man, Chheang Mol, the landlord, said that the victim came to stay at his place on March 16, 2021. On April 14, 2021, at 8:30 pm, he called the victim for the room rent payment, but nobody reply. On April 15, at 7:15 pm, he went to check the victim's room. The door was unlocked, but the electricity in the room was cut off, so he used a flashlight. He saw that the Australian man had passed away so he reported this to the police immediately.

After getting the information, the local police reported to the prosecutor, and they collaborated with the Scientific-Technical police, the criminal police, and the investigation and procedure department (Immigration Dept) to examine the body at the scene.
After the examination, the autopsist, Dr. Norng Sovannaroth, concluded that the victim died of a heart attack. The body was taken to keep at the mortuary at Teuk Thlar Pagoda.

Nice fellow,very surprised he was just 47. I always put him in his 50's even ten years ago.

Pete was a really nice guy.

He was a regular musician around PP, playing regularly at LoneStar, Botanico, Villa Grange and Ponytails to name a few places.

He was a good friend to many and a friend of mine.
