Re: SR: an Australian chef found dead in his rented house
Blimey, he looks to have been dead for quite some time too. One of the sad things about dying a long way from home when you're on your own I guess.

^^Khmer wife.
And he's likely only been dead 2 or 3 days.

The body is in the latter stages of putrefaction so at least a week probably nearer 10 - 14 days.
Long time and the smell must have been unbearable. No sign of the wife??

Dear god. 2 or 3 days? I was going to guess months.

Addition to correct my "2-3 day estimate", I was surmising at the times because it's a tropical climate. 2 weeks is what you'd normally see in "average" temperature climates for this kind of decomposition (just being an armchair spectator looking at a picture), but being in a hot humid environment likely sped up his decomposition a lot more though. We'll see where or when his wife turns up and maybe hear the rest of the story.
EDITED: Police say (taken from K440 reference) that he had been dead 20 days. Also says the wife didn't want to live with him because he was always drunk.

Well just look at the guy. Would YOU want to be around him? Imagine the personality that comes along with a spider web tattoo around the belly button in addition to the rest of that ridiculous appearance. A real prince charming, no doubt.Advocatus Diaboli wrote:A typial case of a loving and caring Cambodian wife.......this guy has deceased at least 14 days ago.

One sign that he has been there 10+ days is you can see he is already past the bloating phase - That would have been probably 3-4-5 days by itself - from the on-set of bloating from bacterial and decomp chemical reactions - then that reaches max point and has a sudden decline -(release) as you see the stomach is collapsed - But there is no perfect time gauge to determine the days when they have layed this long - except the cell phone that stopped outgoing calls.AE86 wrote:Addition to correct my "2-3 day estimate", I was surmising at the times because it's a tropical climate. 2 weeks is what you'd normally see in "average" temperature climates for this kind of decomposition (just being an armchair spectator looking at a picture), but being in a hot humid environment likely sped up his decomposition a lot more though. Uh-oh, doppelganger alert!
He and I share the exact same DOB.
Maybe Total was a foreshadowing.
