RIP. This looks a lot like the guy who almost crashed into me and some friends on Friday afternoon near Naga, hope it's not the same dude but I'm pretty sure it is.

Nothing much, it was at the roundabout by Naga, huge dude was on a huge motorbike, attempted to weave between the group I was with (all on skateboards), and failed. It was one of those slow awkward near crashes. He put his bike down but he didn't fall and no one was injured. He didn't yell or anything, seemed quite calm about the whole incident. That being said, he clearly wasn't a confident/comfortable motorbike rider.potty wrote:what happened, randompeeps ?

Also just to be 100% clear, I'm not entirely certain it was the same guy, but he was Australian and certainly looked like it could have been him. I was hot and tired and not paying as much attention as I should have been tbh.
Re: Australian Expat Simon Doyle has Died in Phnom Penh
thanks, randompeeps for clarification...
so, as it was perhaps the 2nd perfectly fine expat (healthwise) walking into calmette and leaving it dead a few hours later, better be careful...
its enough to go to hospital, they make a brain scan and claim some blood clot and give you a super blood-clotter-dose on the drip...
nobody would survive that, and certainly no police inquiry here...
would surely need a quick embalming.
anything goes on this planet.
would be interesting to know, the shifts of medical personal at calmette when the incidents happened.

Re: Australian Expat Simon Doyle has Died in Phnom Penh
its easy, basically..
when you have a blood-clot allegedly in the head, then there are two options
- you die of it
- you survive it
one thing is sure - in the hospital they cant help you anyway.
with the recent events, it seems more likely to not survive a visit.
get you a blood thinner in the pharmacy, I think warfarin, but better look it up. (haha)
