This guy sounds like a major dick/pedo/crap journalist, on the other hand the fact than they accuse him of being some kind of spy is pretty hilarious imo.

What I find odd about his arrest is that he used a drown to capture footage of the protest, while other journalist filming were sitting on shoulders or standing on car roof tops. What's the difference?

It wasn't a protest, it was just a gathering by the opposition party for a political rally before the commune elections.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 6:32 pm What I find odd about his arrest is that he used a drown to capture footage of the protest, while other journalist filming were sitting on shoulders or standing on car roof tops. My bad.... I recall from media report citing Ricketson arrested for filming protest rally. Was merely quoting my recollection of what he was filming. If what you say, makes it even less serious.John Bingham wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 6:43 pmIt wasn't a protest, it was just a gathering by the opposition party for a political rally before the commune elections.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 6:32 pm What I find odd about his arrest is that he used a drown to capture footage of the protest, while other journalist filming were sitting on shoulders or standing on car roof tops. A drone is a newfangled flying spying machine. Big difference.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 6:32 pm What I find odd about his arrest is that he used a drown to capture footage of the protest, while other journalist filming were sitting on shoulders or standing on car roof tops. Re: Australian Filmmaker James Ricketson Arrested at CNRP Rally With a Drone For Espionage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
I was at a major event recently that the PM attended and there were drones flying all over the place doing shots for TV. It's not drones that are the problem. It's who is flying them and whether they have permission or not. This case is more about Ricketson's provocative and accusatory reporting while he was defending pedophiles than anything else. I'm surprised none of the international or local news outlets have pointed out that freeing creepy Dave Fletcher, scourge of the slums, was his main focus during the years before he got hit with this charge. I'm a pragmatic type myself and don't really care what methods are used to remove creeps like this from general circulation. It would be best if both died in jail, that would send a message out to any other exploitative nasty bastards who think they can come here and take the piss. Fuck them.

My guess is the arrogant pedo apologist will get some kind of release via a pardon or something then a lifetime ban from infecting this country ever again. Shipped back to Oz on the next plane out, one way blacklisted from ever returning. I hope so. See how he finishes his documentary then, jackass.
