According to Stickboy Bangkok, Artur Segarra from Spain is believed to have fled Thailand and be in Cambodia right now, who is wanted by Thai police as he is the prime suspect for the gruesome murder of a fellow Spaniard in Thailand, businessman David Bernat.

It sounds like the killing was over money and that Artur Segarra was involved with a Thai gang.

While they don't have enough to charge him with the murder at this time, they will detain him for immigration violations, as his Thai visa expired December 10, 2015, and it seems he's exited and entered the country several times since.

He was last seen in Surin, Thailand, which is near the Chom Chok/O'Smack border crossing into Cambodia.

If he did manage to cross into Cambodia, Siem Reap would be an easy spot for him. It's been a few hours, but that's usually enough time to buy a guesthouse in Siem Reap and be considered a "good bloke" by many fellow expats.

From Stickboy Bangkok:

Pol Gen Panya said border checkpoints were on high alert with officers posted at the Aranyaprathet Immigration Checkpoint on the Cambodian being extra vigilant as he’d used this crossing several times recently.

Spoiler:
Bangkok, February 6 (EFE) .- The Thai police have interrogated today's girlfriend Artur Segarra, the prime suspect for the murder of the Catalan executive David Bernat, after the couple was spotted yesterday in a northeastern province border with Cambodia.

The police chief Surin Yossawat Ngamsanga has confirmed to Efe that the authorities took statements from Thai, identified as Pritsana, who, according to another police spokesman, spend the night in custody without charge to help gather more data on the crime.

As for Segarra, it remains fled in a case in which, according to initial police investigations point to a kidnapping with extortion and murder.

The authorities published on Friday several photographs taken by immigration Segarra in some points of entry to the country.

According to the statement Pritsana, collecting local media, the Spanish fled on a motorcycle last night when, while both were dining in a karaoke of the city, was identified by a group of waiters.

Pritsana, 22, and Segarra, 37, a native of Catalonia, had been captured by several security cameras withdrawing cash at ATMs several of the Thai capital and the city of Ayutthaya, north of Bangkok.

The first parts of the dismembered body of David Bernat, a Catalan executive missing in Thailand a few weeks ago, were found on Saturday on the Chao Phraya River which flows through Bangkok, and since then have appeared more scattered pieces of the body in the water.

Bernat, about 40 years old and a native of the province of L'Albi (Lleida), was last seen alive on January 20 as he was leaving an apartment in the capital in the company of another western.

Thai police after comparing information and evidence with the Embassy of Spain in Bangkok, explained on Thursday that the missing data coincided with those of the body found.

The forensic evidence suggests that Bernat died from suffocation between 25 and 27 January.

Police General Panya Mamen, chief of the criminal investigation, said yesterday that Artur Segarra, who knew the victim, is "involved in some stage of the murder or perhaps all" during an interview with Efe.

Despite the investigations the authorities have not yet issued an arrest warrant for alleged murder Segarra, although it could be arrested for violating immigration laws to remain in the country with a visa expired since mid-December.

Pritsana, who says was six months out with the suspect, said it was unaware of the criminal charges against her boyfriend, who since January 31 traveled the country in a red Honda motorcycle brand.

Saturday morning, officials found this abandoned in bushes at a point near the Cambodian border vehicle instead.

"It is possible that Artur is still in Thailand and remain hidden in the area (where he was last seen). We have no notice of their departure," he said in a telephone conversation with Efe a spokesman for the group leading the case.

The motive for the macabre crime points to a kidnapping and extortion in order to gain access to bank accounts of the victim.

Police have detected "movements of large amounts of money" from current accounts in Singapore Spanish assassinated to banks in Spain and Thailand, among which could be found Artur account Segarra.

The victim was held somewhere and "forced to make transfers" of money before he was killed, as he told the police.

"When I had no (money) or was not useful, it moved from place to kill and dismember probably in another location. Later they threw the body into the water to erase the evidence," he developed the police leading the investigation

Police believe that "there are many people involved" in the assassination, including foreign and possibly local. EFE

Are those tattoos or does he have a very hairy chest?

Either way, keep an eye out for a guy wearing a polo neck sweater.

Fuk me, I TOLD Macgavin Witc(h)untress that I would look after him. " Just follow me and you will never need to pay for that pussy shit you drink in Blue Pumpkin EVER AGAIN" sadly, he believed me :plus1: all he wanted to know was it ok if he could share with his BFF SvaykenBear. "Of course I said" magnanimously "I have no problem with the blind leading the blind"
Anyway, Macnicelly, thats 1/4 ( so technically 1/8th for you and 1/8th for me, but if you play your cards right... :whip:) of a beer you can share with me when you get back( your shout though) and I think its best not to even imagine what the c(h)untress and his bear friend get up to. Consenting adults and all you know!
And thanks Digg3r, I'm determined to win this particular battle mate. Cigs have been a big problem for me for most of my life.(It took 40 odd years to finally acknowledge that phrase).Well that problem finished 5 days ago. I know its not going to be easy, but it in a way is."I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE"
Thanks for your support mate :hattip:

Well done on giving up cigs Hotdigr@TopBloke. As you know I'm a born again, reformed smoker myself (they are the WORST!), about 6 months "clean" and it gets easier with time. Be strong little Petal! You only have to give up one cig, the 1st one!
PS. Go easy on the Codeine Brother (save some for me)
I miss SinnSisamouth and Sailorman. But my aim is getting better!
