To “tap” somebody is to ask them for money.

When you "tap" a girl who works at Mr. Butterfly Bar, she asks you for money.tightenupvolume1 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 2:21 pm To “tap” somebody is to ask them for money.

Who knows what he meant by tapping beer? I think he's just pissed off because the guy slagged off his pies.

I already told you , when somebody is on the "tap" they want money, or in this case a beer, we use the expression all the time in the uk. A few weeks before xmas i spoke to my niece on the phone and she said "i might tap you up before xmas" ie borrow some money.

If one were to 'tap' my girlfriend, in the Australian vernacular, one would risk dismemberment.

the mistake you made is using English words. many people here only speak American or Australian.tightenupvolume1 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 4:43 pm I already told you , when somebody is on the "tap" they want money, or in this case a beer, we use the expression all the time in the uk.
