Tobacco, soft drink,baht buses and 711 food has gone up in Thailand.
Even know Cambodia dont have baht buses these products all remain dirt cheap this side of the border.

I think the cost of alcohol in Thailand is a killer. While the availability of decent wine has improved considerably in Thailand it seems not that easy to locate and still exorbitantly expensive compared with here. I can get a good Bordeaux in a wine bar here from about $17 a bottle, while in Bangkok you were looking at around $60 a bottle in a restaurant. A bottle of Haute Medoc for example can be had from about $25 and up in Bouchon Wine Bar here, whereas in Thailand it is over $100, and that is "over the counter" I hate to think what it costs in a restaurant. Even Black Label whiskey is under $30 a litre here whereas in Bangkok it is around $50.

There are also a lot of very good "deli's" here in Phnom Penh that supply good imported food at reasonable prices. I can get reasonable French pate from around $3 and foies gras from around $5 in addition to a really good selection of cheeses. I don't know if similar places exist in Bangkok now, and if they are easily locateable and how prices compare.
