Well damn. I've known Paul for many years, since he was living in Sihanoukville. He was the owner of LivingInCambodia, which never took off quite as well as his LivingInCebu forum, which he recently sold.
I don't think he denied any of that unsavory news about him, but as others have said, he was always courteous when I saw him and never seemed to be violent or anything. He moved to Battambang a few years ago, and the last time I saw him back in June we finished off a bottle of Jack Daniels with a few of his buddies there. I think I'm down to 2 friends in Battambang now.
I'm kinda surprised he lived this long, as he's fucking massive. I'm sure some of his haters will be glad to hear about his death, as he had a few vicious stalkers, but that's par for the course when you run an expat forum, apparently.
