Give him a medal.
US cops aren’t perfect. But they have the thankless job of responding when called. Despite risk to life and limb. All to prevent the bad people from doing evil things. Made even more difficult when some idiot is actively encouraging people to assault the police.

The rap sheet easily available online just says tattoo right arm. Let me see what else I can dig up.

Here's the incident report and mug shot relating to Shearer's arrest in May 2015 for battery on a police officer. The incident took place outside an Applebee's in Kissimmee. It involved him allegedly slapping a police officer's hand and then pulling another officer's vest as he was being taken to the ground. I guess in Florida, that's a felony.
Judging from the mugshot photo, he got the worst of the encounter. He posted bail but then fled a few months later, and a fugitive warrant was issued for his arrest.

Slapping his hand? Pulling a vest? LOL, what snowflakes
Here are some brave US cops risking their lives focusing on priority issues among evil, dangerous people...

He also said rude things in an Applebee's. Applebee's should be a "safe space."that genius wrote: ↑Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:27 am Slapping his hand? Pulling a vest? LOL, what snowflakes

Nothing worse than fake liberals. Okay to bomb women and children in Yemen et al, but Dog forbid somebody used racist language just after slavery was abolished, we'd better pull her name off the library register.

Though from my experience with Florida(and texas) law enforcement think would have to agree with genius on this one.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 6:55 pmWTF? Khmer cops are so much more angelic?that genius wrote:Punched a US cop?

I hear anger about the stupidity and aggression of cops from almost every American I meet. Hollywood likes to portray them as wonderful, smart people who always get their man but respect the law. In reality, one doesn't become a cop if one is smart, it's an even worse alternative than signing up for the military. They also don't get much training, or even worse, the get trained by psychopathic abusers of human rights. So don't be surprised that they do crazy stuff.

Khmer cops, by contrast, are remarkably restrained, I've seen people get away with stuff they would get shot for back home. I recall one video from years ago of some Khmer guy with long hair getting stopped on a moto by three cops, he went ballistic and was punching all of them, he would have been shot chop chop elsewhere.
Why are cops portrayed as ' heroes'? They are only ' heroes' when they do something heroic. Being a cop/fireman does not make one a hero by default. They get paid to do it. It's their job. A librarian isn't hero/heroine until they do something extraordinary to justify the tag. The attempt by media and govt to portray police, military and emergency staff as heroes by default is simplistic propaganda, which, sadly, many in the US have fallen for...and elsewhere, too.
