We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Harbison was convicted in Virginia of embezzling fro the American Legion in 2012. He fled the USA before his trial; the trial went on without him. The jury recommended that he serve six years in prison.

He was subsequently charged with failure to appear later in 2012, a warrant was issued for his arrest. I don't see that he ever went back.

The state of Virginia also charged him with bigamy for being married to two Asian women at the same time.

Colorful guy. He was also arrested in Virginia for assault on a family member in 2007.

I gather he was too old to join the French Foreign Legion...they used to take on criminals or anyone with a dubious past...so, he fled to Cambodia instead..

Colourful, that's what they now call an ordinary criminal on the run.
