American JOHN JOSEPH O'GRADY Sent to Siem Reap Deportation Center

Cambodia News (Siem Reap): On March 23, 2020, the Department of Investigation and Procedure of the Siem Reap Immigration department reported that a 52-year-old US male national, JOHN JOSEPH O'GRADY, was arrested for living illegally in Siem Reap.

The police said the American man arrived in Cambodia during December 2019, through Siem Reap Airport. However, he had no money and he ended up in a mess, sleeping on the street and begging for money near the Psar Chas market. He said that a Cambodian woman was keeping his passport somewhere, but he couldn't say who she was, and didn't know where to find her.

The police have sent the American man to the Siem Reap Deportation Detention Center to be deported whenever that will be possible.

I'd hate to be in the detention center for 18 months. On the other hand, he cannot get any skinnier.
