CEO Cambodianews presents some of the shittiest reporting in town. They never ask essential questions such as:

1) How did they know who his girlfriend was?

2) If they knew her why did she have to crawl in through the window?

3) How exactly does a 42 year old woman crawl through a 4th floor window?

4) Why didn't they use a passkey to open the room?

Allow of these newsflashes are skeletons that need flesh. Why are they carried here?
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

LoL, don't lose your head over it. We try to make them as accurate as possible. If you see a error, just point it out. Most are taken from various sources online and sometimes it's just a confusing story, or badly reported on.

For example, look how many versions of the story about the German dentist that "allegedly" shot himself. Some articles mention his family was possibly in trouble over handing him the gun, and some don't mention it at all.

And some of them I do myself via Google Translate alone, which are hit or miss.

:dm:
1) ?
2) because the key was in the room with the deceased.
3) #407 could be on the ground floor - she looked through the window (not climbed through) - or there could be a balcony?
4) Easy. They lost the other key about a year ago and haven't got around to replacing it. (Costs too much.)

Anyway, the guy had a history of heart/health problems. Not so mysterious. For once, heart attack could be the correct diagnosis.

Don't get me wrong

1) According to that article it seemed that he already stayed that a few months already. So i am sure that his girlfriend must had been around that with him. So there is no doubt that the staff there might know his girlfriend.

2) I read another article in khmer about this, the owner of that guest house tried to prevent the journalist from taking the picture of the diseased. That's they didn't open the door for her to get in. As a result, there was not picture of his body shared around in any locals news.

3) She didn't crawl. She only looked through the window.

4) The answer can be found in #2.

I agree that Google translate has been improving a lots, however it is still not reach to the point that can be officially acceptable. It needs a lot more improvement. I can see how hard GM faced every time he tried to get the news translated and put it here for everyone who don't speak or read khmer to read. I have to agree with him that many locals news are suck. Most of their articles are confusing. Even though i am a local some time i found it so hard to understand them. The problem is that most of locals news try to compete each other. They try to get the article posted as fast as they can. I guess many news writers didn't have double check on their article. Some time i found a lot of mistakes and errors in their article.

Re: American Expat David Drueding Dies in Phnom Penh Guestho

Post by General Mackevili »

Seems he was having a lot of trouble in almost every area of his life for the past few months.

Here is David Drueding's Facebook status update from February 14, 2015:

"Dear friends, sorry for my absence on this site. I am well and waiting on God to do what is next. I have been under a spiritual attack for the past month...health, work, news from home etc. But through Jesus I have the victory! Prayers are requested and needed. God bless you all!"

And random reply:

"Seems sometimes we are tried as by fire, but when finished we are stronger, better, and more wiser. Hold fast, take refuge under the wings of the almighty, he won't leave you, or forsake you. Your answer is on it's way in Jesus name. O:-)"

And David Drueding's last Facebook status update on March 30, 2015 before he died in Phnom Penh, Cambodia:

"I am alive and well. I have been offline because of my computer going in for repairs here in Cambodia, and the charges to get it back kept changing higher and higher….if you are not a Cambodian the assumption is that you are a rich tourist which I am NOT, as well as being robbed by 2 men of my wallet, cash, ATM card, and IDs. It has been a stressful month, but God is good and everything will work out. The real problem is no access to $$$$ since my ATM card is taking 10 days to come by FED EXPRESS. So prayers are requested for God's provision. I am eating on $5.00 a day so I am eating a lot of steamed white rice and little else, not the best diet to regain my strength. But I am thankful for what HE provides…HE is faithful!!!!!"

And some random replies:

"hang in there in friend god has your back. and will provide all your needes"

"May Your Walls Know Peace. These Are Hard Times But They Will Pass"

"Prayers for you, God will provide and stay safe."

I always hate it when I see Christians make promises like "God will provide for you," or "just trust in the lord, he will get you through this."

When they do get through it, God takes all the credit for getting them through it.

What happens in this case? If they were fair and logical, seems they should now blame God for his death. But I doubt they do, they will just fall back on plan B and say, "oh, it was God's will."

Anyways, sad story. RIP.

Hmmmm, this is weird...

David Drueding (born August 10, 1949) appears to have been the Executive Director for both Montessori schools in Phnom Penh, yet he clearly appears to have a criminal record in Florida.

Charges of burglary and larceny (stealing shit for you non-lawyers).

Either it's ok to be a burglar and be the Executive Director at Montessori schools, or we can add them to the list of schools in Cambodia that don't do criminal background checks on people before they hire them to work with children.

David Drueding was also a US Marine. Image

Apparently, his middle initial is H.

Here's a docket sheet listing an action filed against David H. Drueding by a Wendy Kierstead for repeat violence. That's 6 years before his 1999 arrest/ mug shot for domestic violence.

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/199 ... bank-et-al

I wonder if he was a fake priest. Buy a clerical collar, move to Cambodia, start asking people for money for your church/mission. Easy.
