What I said was...PrestonLiu wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 10:23 pmWhat’s your basis for saying that Chinese casinos are open for drinking and gambling?Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 7:32 pm AFAIK, Chinese casinos are open for gambling and drinking, but Khmers must stay home and be sober (which doesn't seem fair when you consider that the whole shit hit the fan in Cambodia because of imported visitors who escaped quarantine and spread the virus.)
As I said "AFAIK" (as far as I know) casinos in Sihanoukville are open for business, so I suppose there are people gambling. In light of the new regulations on the sale of alcohol in Sihanoukville, I was expressing my scepticism that they will not also be drinking. However, it's a question, not a statement, and I also said that I have not been to a casino or a brothel recently, so cannot say from personal experience. In the meantime, casinos are open for business in Sihanoukville, so is it with or without alcohol? That was my query. AFAIK, Chinese casinos are open for gambling and drinking...
Also, more of "AFAIK" on casinos - the casinos which have not been touched by Covid infections are still open in SHV, Nagaworld casino in Phnom Penh is closed temporarily (officially), and I think the casinos in Svay Rieng on the Vietnamese border are also closed now. (Due to Covid outbreak). No idea what's happening in Poipet or elsewhere.
If anyone has better info, I'm all ears.

For all those many straight- heads who always condem people caught with even minute amounts of " illegal " drugs ,just remember that alcohol is a ( very damaging ) drug ..When I routinely debate with wowwsers about drug prohibition and see them sucking back beers & cigarettes ,I let them know what uneducated dickheads they are .

I'm young, slim and handsome.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 9:29 pmI can answer this for you from a news poster's POV.
People are going to jail for posting "fake news" on the internet. Sometimes this is not "fake" news, but it's news that is posted by one government department, and then another department or a higher-up person disagrees with what is announced, so then it is called fake news. Or it is posted by social media bloggers before the official announcement (without an official decree), and that can also be called a crime of fake news or incitement.
If you post the official decree along with the "news item", then that is the official decree, and the news outlet is (hopefully) not responsible if the decree is corrected or denied by other officials later on.
Hope that clears things up for you.
Can I get imprisoned for that piece of fake news?
