We've had this in Luzon, Philippines for the last 4 weeks. Had it last year about this time too. It made no difference then and it won't now! Figures are just going up and down depending on how many they test. They are now testing with Antigen kits so the increased figures not so accurate! It was initially set to stop booze parties over Easter. Then here the Mayor who has too much power extended it for another 2 weeks. Supposed to end Friday but as no announcements (which is normal until last minute) have to wait and see. Cannot travel far here, but can go two hours to the coast, a different province where beer is flowing. Different mayor there that cares about the business loss and been very few cases up to now. Aus never did any liquor bans but doing fine, so have to question the logic!

I would so love to be completely wrong here but I can't see many of these bars ever reopening under their current ownership.
They are shut and will never be allowed to reopen with the daily numbers anything above 10 or 20 and declining. Does anyone still believe they can contain and supress this thing?
They haven't got anywhere near enough vaccine and what they do have is dubious. They haven't got anything near a decent health system so are making makeshift field hospitals which everyone will avoid at all costs. This could get very messy by the 28th of April. (Why not requisition all private hospitals and dragoon all the staff?)
The only way the bars etc will reopen in the near future is if the government changes course and says, " whilst we advise you to stay out of enclosed spaces like bars and restaurants and KTV 's, it is your life and it is up to you if you want to risk your life".
Does that sound like anything they might say?

@Soriya "Continue to implement the temporary administrative measures against COVID-19 in Phnom Penh Extended for two more weeks dated from 15 to 28 April 2021. "....
Therefore that COULD be interpreted as an extension to previous directives regardless of what the rest of this directive states - as usual, clear as mud I'm sure it'll be clarified.

Can the beer producers and sales outlets take this kind of loss?
Always "hope" but never "expect".

The AKP statement in English below says: "All gatherings for food, drinks or alcoholic beverages are prohibited between 08:00 pm and 05:00 am, except among household members, funerals, and gatherings of health staff and competent authorities on duty. I would interpret this as, no parties or gatherings permitted after 8m, and stay close to home but otherwise carry on as usual; but I am not the authorities.
Curfew in Phnom Penh Extended for Two More Weeks to Curb COVID-19
AKP Phnom Penh, April 13, 2021 --
Phnom Penh municipal administration has decided to extend its currently-imposed curfew for another two-week period, from April 15 to 28, as the number of new infections of COVID-19 is surging.
According to its directive released today, the prolonged measures include the temporary ban of dining in at food and beverage outlets in the capital, except takeaway service.
All gatherings for food, drinks or alcoholic beverages are prohibited between 08:00 pm and 05:00 am, except among household members, funerals, and gatherings of health staff and competent authorities on duty.
Moreover, travelling within the Phnom Penh geographical area is banned during the hour range, except for emergency health and family reasons, medical staff, fire fighters, armed personnel, factory workers, and so on.
Those who fail to follow the directive will be punished as stated in the Law on Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 and Other Severe, Dangerous and Contagious Diseases, and other relevant regulations.
As of this morning, Cambodia’s tally of COVID-19 reached 4,696, of which 4,160 are related to the third cluster infections known as the Feb. 20 Community Event. A total of 2,252 cases have so far recovered, with 33 deaths recorded.
