Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: A 75-year-old man, Tay Eng, was detained by police on March 06, 2019, at 09:10 am, for wearing the official cadastral uniform to ask for money from local people for house building services, in Samrong Krom village, Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh.

When the old man wore the cadastral officer's uniform and went around the village to ask money from people for house building services, some people became suspicious, and they asked their family who work in the ministry to check for the suspect's name, but he was not employed in the cadastral offices. So then the local people detained the old man and sent for the police.

The suspect confessed that he wasn't a cadastral officer, but that he went to ask money from people on that pretext because he and his family are poor, and he is old and sick with diabetes but no money for treatment. The suspect was sent to Khan Porsenchey police station to follow the legal procedure.
