Not like a thread on some forum is made every time some one in England dies from a heart/circolatory diseases in England for example. That would be 160.000 threads made each year or 438 per day. What kind of people who often choose to come to Cambodia does not help either but they would most likely have died early no matter where they live. They just decided to die in Cambodia for cheap beer/drugs.

There are 60 million people in England. And there may be 438 people dying of heart disease every day. But the vast majority of them aren't dying in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s like the Westerners in Phnom Penh do. The average life expectancy in the United Kingdom and France is about 81 years old.

Meanwhile, the average life expectancy for Westerner expats in Cambodia is 57.4 years old. Moving to Cambodia takes about 20-25 years off your life.
Yes but Cambodia does attract allot of people who will die young. Im just not agreeing on that Cambodia is to blame when some 24/7 drunk who never exercise, does drugs, never check his health and have a very poor diet die in a for us to early age.

Again nothing about the man in this case but you know as well as me how healthy allot of the expats here are. At least in west they have family/state who will look after them a bit. Here they dont go to the doctor as a consultation could buy them 30 beers wich of course sounds like a much better deal for their bucks.

Then of course we also got allot of sad deaths that are because of infections/heat/traffic etc but everything including overdoses are included in the 57,4 i think?

I'd be interested to know how many expats return to their home country at a certain age or at least move to somewhere with better healthcare. Even so if we include tourist deaths into the statistics then it's kind of like saying "what the average age of people who die in nightclubs?" the majority of these deaths are drug related and misadventure and there just isn't that many people in their seventies and eighties coming here for some cheap china white.

I have been eating in his restaurant for over 16 years, one of my favourites. Good food and good value. Saw him there just last month.
