Re: 30Kg Crocodile On the Loose in Phnom Penh Floodwaters
Cambodia News,(Phnom Penh): A crocodile weighing more than 30 kg that escaped from a pond in Sangkat Prek Kampus, Khan Dangkor during the floods during the day of October 14 has been found. This is the claim of Mr. Kaing Sarin, the owner of a crocodile farm in Prek Kampus commune.
On the morning of 16 October, Mr. Kaing Sarin confirmed that the crocodile escaped from the pool, but it did not go far; that is, the crocodile remained within the protective net outside the pond in the same farm. According to Kaing Sarin, the pond is surrounded by a net up to 3.5 meters high to prevent the crocodiles from escaping, and this is the first time such a flood has caused the crocodile to come out of the pool.
