It amazes me - even when a man is absolutely, without a doubt, 100% guilty of a crime against a woman - it's not his fault and he's the poor little victim.
I know it's difficult to accept but some men do some really awful things to women.

Not all men, but some. At least acknowledge the ones that aren't in dispute.

Almost daily, I think about what effect my living here is having on my kids. They're all 18-24 years old, so school/friends/career/bf or gf are their priorities.

Can't say I was any different. I hope they know that I'd be there for them at the drop of a hat, but living in that fucking country waiting for their call is not something I'm willing to do.

My divorce absolutely and cruelly crippled everyone of us, with the obvious exception of my ex wife and her attorney. That caused me to get the fuck out of Dodge. Cunts, both of them. On a humorous note, I've often wished, and still do, that my ex wife somehow turns up in PP. I've got a few old-school tuktuk driver friends...

Your right and personally knowing a few mates who's children have suicided it tears them apart, no way am I condoning what he did,
It's an utterly tragic and cowardly act.

This is extremely tedious.

There are men who do awful things to men, women and children.
There are woman who do awful things to men, women and children.

There are also many, many more decent people of both genders. You wouldn't think so reading Roz's posts.

The guy deserves no sympathy, himself. His family certainly do, though, whatever mistakes they made raising him, they surely never condoned this godawful shit.

The culture of violence and jealousy around him is to blame too. As unforgiving as we may be of this man, that doesn't mean we should dismiss the fact that he is a product of his surroundings to some extent. And yes - man's point of view here, it does have a lot to do with masculinity. Women do some terrible things, but let's not joke that men aren't the bigger problem. Just in the past few days, in Phnom Penh we've seen a man do this, a man cut off his own mother's head, and a man strangle his three daughters.
