Battambong: A couple who knew each other and fell in love with each other less than a week had sex together on Valentine’s Day. Then it led to the arrest of the man as she was a minor (13 years old).

Police said, it took place around 6 pm on 14 Feb 2015 at the man’s house in Svay thom village, Ou Dombong 2 commune, Sangke district, Battambong province. The offender names Tha Sithan, 21 years old.

Police added, the offender was arrested just a few hours after the girl’s mother filed a lawsuit accusing him of seducing the minor to have sex. However, both of them said they agreed to have sex together for the first time on Valentine’s Day.

The offender and 13 years old girl told police that they were in relationship with each other on 2 Feb 2015. They met each other in a wedding in the village. After that they keep in touch and always talk phone with each other.
He (offender) said, on Valentine’s Day, she called me to pick her and go out. So i borrowed my friend’s motorcycle to pick her. Then we went out together. After that we came back to my home. We just sat and talked to each other. Then i hugged her and we started to have sex.

Police said, even though it was a consensual sex, but we still need to arrest him since the girl is a minor.
