Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A woman driving an Audi Q7 crashed into a Honda Dream motorcycle which was travelling in the opposite direction, killing the moto driver instantly, at around 8pm on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Royal Mekong Borey near National Road 6A, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.

According to police, the car driver was a woman aged 20, and the motorcyclist was a man aged 24. Witnesses said that the car collided head-on with the motorcycle, and did not stop immediately, but continued dragging the motobike and the rider for about 10 meters, causing the death of the motorcycle owner at the scene.

When the car finally came to a halt, local people at the scene took the woman into custody and handed her over to the police.

Audi drivers are the most hated drivers in Oz these days, as a general rule. Ask any taxi driver or anybody.
Arrogance above their station and a sour outlook on life and other road users all 'round.

I reckon it's aspiring to, but not quite making, the grade with real European motoring class.
On top of that - all bitter and twisted because they got sucked in and ripped off by the VW deilsel scam instead of being able to ponce around town showing off their "greener" fashion marque

(nb, but thats the aspiring rich in Oz, no reflection on a certain member here who's wife has a VW shopping trolly, i believe.
I'm gonna get one myself when the last of the real, old style, tuk tuks has gone.
- then i can be arrogant and sour as always, but people will think i have a valid reason for a change.

The people who would wish to drive overseas are now obtaining their international driving licences, but in Cambodia the same is not recognized nor excepted from that of a visitor.
I believe this is the second time, in a short time this type of incident has happened. If these type of incident happen overseas there won't be such things like connection's, the accused would spend real time behind bars.

I was a passenger in a car when it hit a moto (no one on it) years ago. The moto went under the car and lifted the front up so the front wheels weren’t touching the ground. We traveled a fair distance and the driver was shouting “Brakes don’t work!”.

Apparently the ABS was confused a bit.
